Press Release: Cadi Ayyad University Launches the First Edition of Its Road Race

Cadi Ayyad University is pleased to announce the inaugural edition of its road race, scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026. This initiative forms part of the university’s sustained commitment to promoting physical activity, encouraging an active and healthy lifestyle within the academic community, and further strengthening its engagement with its wider academic and social environment.

The race will commence in front of the university’s sports complex, adjacent to the School of Visual Arts in Marrakech. Participant registration will open at 7:30 a.m., while the official start is set for 9:30 a.m. The 7-kilometre course has been carefully designed in accordance with established standards to ensure both participant safety and the highest level of organizational quality.

Open to all members of the university community—including faculty, students, and administrative staff—as well as running enthusiasts and sports practitioners, the event seeks to foster a spirit of unity, exchange, and healthy competition.

Regarding awards, cash prizes will be granted to the top three finishers: 2,000 MAD for first place, 1,500 MAD for second place, and 1,000 MAD for third place. In addition, medals will be awarded to all participants in recognition of their commitment and to further encourage engagement in sporting activities.
