Basic Compulsory Health Insurance for Students (AMO Students) is a program designed to provide basic medical coverage for students, provided they meet specific eligibility criteria.
Eligible Beneficiaries:
Students who meet the following criteria are eligible for AMO Students coverage:
- Enrollment: Must be enrolled in a higher education or vocational training institution.
- Age: Must be under the age of 30 (this age limit does not apply to students in traditional education who continue their studies in the final cycle).
- No Other Coverage: Must not have other forms of basic medical coverage, either personally or as a dependent.
Registration Process:
To register for AMO Students, the following steps must be followed:
- Complete the Electronic Registration Form: For students enrolled in public higher education institutions, the registration form is available on the university's website at: amo.uca.ma.
- Pay the Contribution:
- Students enrolled in tuition-free programs at public higher education and vocational training institutions are exempt from making a contribution, as this is covered by the State.
- Students enrolled in fee-paying programs or at private institutions must pay an annual fixed contribution of 400 dirhams.
- Submit the Registration Request: Registration requests must be submitted either during initial enrollment or re-enrollment at the relevant educational institution.
Covered Services:
AMO Students provides coverage for a wide range of medical services, including:
- Medical Consultations: Consultations with general practitioners and specialists, as well as home visits, are reimbursed at 80% of the National Treatment Reference Prices (TNR).
- Dental Care: Conservative treatments, surgeries, and dental prosthetics are reimbursed at 80% of the TNR.
- Hospitalization and Surgery:Costs for hospitalization related to surgery, medical treatment, intensive care, or emergency services are covered at 90% in the private sector and 100% in the public sector, based on the TNR.
- Other Services: Dialysis sessions, laboratory tests, radiological exams, rehabilitation, and other specialized treatments are covered according to the terms outlined by AMO.
Emergency Cases:
In case of an emergency, students may receive priority processing of their case. To ensure prompt and appropriate handling, students must submit an urgent request to their educational institution, along with a medical file.
